A meeting with our group!

Our KAGYU MÖNLAM group got together yesterday and had a warm autumny meal together (Indian home-made DAL, courtesy Denise - as taught by Tenzin), some good wine, chats and discussions regarding our coming trip.

Tomorrow we are going to go to get Indian Tourist Visa.

A thanks to Denise's friend Henry - who tipped her to show her friends a great Chinese movie about China's "Great Pilgrim" - the movie shows beautifully how strenous a journey he made to make Buddha's teachings accessible to the Chinese.  The movie shows how Nalanda might have looked and shows the Buddhist culture about 800 years after Buddha's death.

When we go to Rajgir - we will see not only the holy places of Buddha but also remnants of many many pilgrims who have had to endure more strenous journeys than us!

We also looked at a wonderful interview with Danish TV of the 17th Karmapa, Thaye Dorje.

... and Åsa gave us a copy of the text to be recited at the Kagyu Mönlam (most likely) that was recited last year.

So we are getting ready!
